G-MAX® goPC Barebones - CA2 Series
In an environment where many companies are still talking about the cube Barebones, Gigabyte Technology's G-MAX line of products is blazing a trail by preparing to launch our very own brand of cube Barebones - goPC. Expected to take the market by storm, the goPC, originally named the Gigabyte Box PC, will be launched in April.
The concept of the cube Barebone originated from a direct response to market feedback on the need for a streamlined (i.e. less bulky), user-friendly and ergonomically friendly PC that effectively integrates advanced technology and
aesthetics.
Measuring 27.5 x 18.4 x 16 cm, the G-MAX CA series is about 2 to 3 cm smaller than its counterparts, providing the user with more workspace any cube Barebone currently on the market. The design philosophy for the CA series has been to create a product that embodies good taste, exuding the elegance and subtlety that is evident in the clever integration of aesthetics, ergonomics and complement ary color theme of gray and black for the chassis. Features that attest to this design philosophy of attention to the aesthetics is the laser engraved design of 87 lines giving the chassis a three-dimensional effect and the embossed G-MAX brand name. The input/output panel includes a USB 2.0 port, a high-speed IEEE 1394 port and an S/PDIF port. In addition, there are 2 memory card drives that are compatible with 6 of the most common memory cards in the market (SM/CF/MS/MMC/SD/Micro). A unique feature of this product is that, unlike other similar products on the market where the I/O slots are normally found at the back or front panels, the input/output panel is located on the left of the chassis. This ergonomically friendly feature has been incorporated to minimize injury to the user’s hand, another design consideration of this product.
Scheduled to be launched in April, the CA series Intel-based goPC has been built with Gigabyte Technology’s proprietary motherboard equipped with a SIS 661FX chip, inbuilt network functionality, video and audio (6 channels) functionality, high speed 8X AGP drive and 2 DIMM DDR memory drives. In addition, there is an inbuilt temperature control chip that monitors the inbuilt ventilation, minimizing the probability of malfunctions through over-heating. The CA2 series also provides the standard 5.25” CD drive that can be used as a DVD-ROM, CD-RW, Combo or DVD-Dual drive.
Designed with the tech-savvy and discerning consumer in mind, Gigabyte Technology's G-MAX goPC combines design ingenuity with technical performance. This is a product that will light up the cube Barebone market. |
